INNISFIL, Ontario — In a four-way battle that came down to the final laps, Aidan Harper scored the victory in the Bone Stock feature as part of Sunset Speedway’s Spring Velocity.
From the drop of the green flag, everyone knew it was a race that would come down to the last lap with how close the top-four competitors were, battling seemingly under a blanket two-wide double-stacked. This did not change throughout the duration of the event, with Phil Givens potentially looking at going three-way for the lead on a couple occasions.
Chris Allard seemingly had the quickest car, and was able to get out front as the laps began to tick down near the end of the event. However, a slip up in the middle of corner caused the No. 76 to go completely sideways, losing all momentum. His competitors immediately pounced, making their way by as he slotted in behind them.
Aidan Harper led the final two laps en route to winning, holding off a hard charging Phil Givens while Chris Allard completed the podium. Jordan Owen and Cameron Thompson completed the top-five ahead of Jack Bird, Josh Berry, Calvin Reesor, Curtis Burnett, and Tiffany Booth.
There was no incidents on-track, but several drivers fell out of the event as a result of mechanical issues.
Heat wins went to Kris Khan and Jordan Owen.
