2024 Jr Late Model Drivers to Watch List Part 2

As the race season countdown becomes more clear with banquets out of the way and schedules laid out, it only increases the anticipation for what’s ahead for everyone this year. It also begins the conversations – whose the favourite to win a race this season? Whose the favourite for the championship at each track?

This is why we bring you to the famous Drivers to Watch List where we name off some of those drivers who are on the hit list. We are doing it differently this year, with no set ranking in place based on votes and such. It’s simply going to be alphabetical and talk about those who we feel should be discussed.

Think we missed a name on the list? Hit us up in the comments. Let us know. We’ll take all that into consideration, and who knows, maybe there will be another release.

Rylan Kamrath

With your father, uncle and cousins all being race winners and champions across the province, it certainly puts the eyes on you to see the same success happen. Rylan Kamrath put his first couple of starts under his belt this past season at Sunset Speedway, and showed steady improvement already with a best finish of seventh.

Morgan Moore

Since getting behind the wheel of a Jr Late Model, everyone has watched the improvement by Morgan Moore as she has steadily gained speed over the past couple seasons at Sunset Speedway. She finished second in the standings last year with six feature top-five’s and nine top-10’s. She also gained experience outside of her home track, making the trek to Peterborough Speedway with a heat victory and seventh-place feature finish.

Landon Sellers

It’s not secret Peterborough Speedway potentially boasts the best field overall of Jr Late Model competitors in the province with the amount of entries and talent across the board. Landon Sellers joins those mentioned in the first half of this list, courtesy of three heat wins, six feature top-five’s, and an average feature finish of 3.667 across last season.

Chase Stevenson

There are several second and third generation Jr Late Model racers across the province, and one of those that has caught everyone’s attention is Chase Stevenson. His car matches the same paint scheme adorned by his father Brad Stevenson, and it seems he has found the same speed. He found his way to victory lane at Peterborough Speedway in 2023 with two wins, alongside three feature top-five’s.

Savannah Strawn

The field at Peterborough Speedway is only going to continue to grow, with several young stars ready to get their start behind the wheel. Savannah Strawn is one of those, looking to find the same success her father Chad Strawn has experienced at the facility with victories behind the wheel of a modified, super stock, and Renegrade Truck. She has already caught attention of race fans across the province, as evident by being one of the drivers selected for a sponsorship from Ladies of the Oval in 2024.
