PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Finding his way to the front in the opening half of the event, Phil Givens did not look back en route to winning the Autumn Colours Classic feature at Peterborough Speedway.
Givens, a previous winner of the event, knows his way around the track as evident by a strong starting spot at the front of the field following qualifying. Running second for the opening 12 laps, he made his way to the lead on Lap 13 in passing his co-Flamboro Speedway track champion Wayde Thorne.
Phil Givens then led the rest of the way en route to scoring the victory, with Kyle Neumeister in second after passing Chris Allard with four laps to go. Wayde Thorne and Spencer Riddell completed the top-five ahead of Cam Thomson, Dylan Sharpe, Tegan Stanley, Craig Cole, and Alex Stewart.
B-main winner Tyler Weale finished 11th in front of Brady Cox, Christen Lavalle, Nathan Mitchell, Connor Parkes, Victoria McLennon, Matt Cristina, Greg Duncan, and Connor Ellis.
Dustin Johnston only completed 25 laps en route to rounding out the field.
