Miles Tyson Muscles Way to ACC Super Stock Triumph

PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Fighting his way through traffic, Miles Tyson scored the victory in the Autumn Colours Classic Super Stock feature at Peterborough Speedway.

The 2023 Peterborough Speedway track champion wasted no time in working his way through the traffic ahead of him on the grid, taking over the runner-up spot at the halfway mark. He then tracked down Gord Shepherd for the lead, diving underneath him and passing in convincing fashion on Lap 31.

From there on, Miles Tyson drove away from the field en route to scoring the victory. Marlie Owen and Shaun McWhirter completed the podium to give their sponsor Stewart’s Equipment a 1-2-3 finish in the biggest race of the season. Gord Shepherd held on for fourth, with Gerrit Tiemersma rebounding for fifth after issues in practice.

Dan Archibald placed sixth ahead of Ethan Constable and Daniel Hawn after the three-raged battle throughout the 50-lap affair. Lane Zardo and Paul Boundy each suffered issues en route to completing the top-10, with Cole Burrows, Johnny Morrison, and Rob Richards following.

With just four laps remaining, Jacob Booth got into the side of Ryden Lapcevich off of turn four, resulting in Lapcevich making significant contact with the frontstretch wall. Neither team was happy with the incident, with words exchanged afterwards.

Donovan Price and Brad Lavalle rounded out the field.
