Wayde Thorne and “Buttercup” Top Bone Stock Qualifier for Autumn Colours Classic

PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — After showing speed at both Delaware Speedway and Flamboro Speedway, it has carried over to Peterborough Speedway for BT Racing as Wayde Thorne put “Buttercup” on the pole for the Autumn Colours Classic Bone Stock feature.

Behind the wheel of his newly acquired ride, Chris Allard won the first heat ahead of Tegan Stanley, Kyle Neumeister, Eric Stewart, Brady Cox, Zachary Cheng, Peyton Lewis, Matt Cristina, Craig Cole, and Brandon Burnett. Cole only completed two laps as a result of the No. 55 going up in smoke.

Flamboro Speedway co-track champion Phil Givens got the win in the second qualifier in front of Alex Stewart, Jordan Willms, Christen Lavalle, Kris Lawrence, Connor Parkes, Johnnie McIntyre, Alexis Melhuish, and Kyle Johnston.

OSCAAR Hot Rod regular Connor Ellis grabbed the checkered flag in the third heat followed by Wayde Thorne, Leo Labarbera, Nathan Mitchell, Mark Allan, Curtis Burnett, Dustin Johnston, Scott Simpson, Victoria McLennon, and Gregory Duncan.

Kyle Neumeister won the fourth qualifier ahead of Stanley, Allard, Cole, Cox, Eric Stewart, Cheng, Joshua Munro, Lewis, and Burnett.

Flamboro regular Jordan Willms got the win in the fifth qualifier in front of Riddell, Givens, Lawrence, Parkes, Alex Stewart, McIntyre, Lavalle, Johnston, Tyler Beitz, and Melhuish.

Flamboro Speedway co-track champion Wayde Thorne grabbed the checkered flag in the final qualifier followed by Allan, Labarbera, Dustin Johnston, Mitchell, Burnett, Ellis, McLennon, Duncan, and Simpson.

With over 28 cars on the property, a b-main was used to set the back end of the field. Unfortunately, the opening lap of that race saw a couple drivers go for a spin in turns one and two, ending the day early for Burnett.

Tyler Weale rebounded from the incident for the win ahead of Gregory Duncan, Kyle Johnson, and Joshua Munro. Munro gave up his qualified spot in the show, allowing Victoria McLennon to transfer. Scott Simpson placed sixth in front of Alexis Melhuish, and Tyler Beitz.
