PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Finding his way to the lead on Lap 8, Josh Hicks led the rest of the way en route to winning the Canadian Legend Car Series Autumn Colours Classic feature at Peterborough Speedway.
Josh Hicks won the first heat ahead of Adam Cuthbertson, Parker Traves, Jordan Latimer, Mitch Wright, Josh Inglis, Wes Cuthbertson, Steve Gereau, Caleb Drimmie, Andrew McFadden, and Jeff McKibbon.
Dawson Drimmie was victorious in the second qualifier in front of Zack Latimer, Cole McFadden, Connor James, Matt Boyes, Jason Legge, Glenn Morris, Keaton Pipe, Joe Sherman, Anthony Einerson, and Todd Tolton. The heat started off with an incident in turn one involving James and Legge.
Wes Cuthbertson won the third heat ahead of Wright, Traves, Hicks, Jordan Latimer, Andrew McFadden, Inglis, Gereau, Adam Cuthbertson, Caleb Drimmie, and McKibbon.
Zack Latimer was victorious in the final qualifier in front of Legge, Einerson, Tolton, Pipe, Morris, Cole McFadden, Dawson Drimmie, Sherman, James, and Boyes. There was a caution on the opening lap for an incident off turn two involving Cole McFadden and Boyes, as well as a separate incident in turn four with Sherman and James.
The Canadian Legend Car teammates of Parker Traves and Josh Hicks led the field to the green flag, with Traves holding the early advantage. However, that only last until Lap 8 when Josh Hicks was able to get by and take over the lead. The pair remained in that order until the caution at the halfway mark for their teammate Mitch Wright having an issue while running in third.
While under the yellow flag, the rain picked up around the track resulting in the feature being called at that moment. Frostoberfest winner Jordan Latimer was credited with third, with Cole McFadden and Josh Inglis completing the podium.
Wes Cuthbertson was sixth ahead of Dawson Drimmie, Adam Cuthbertson, Zack Latimer, and Connor James. Jason Legge was 11th, followed by Matt Boyes, Glenn Morris, Keaton Pipe, Steve Gereau, Mitch Wright, Caleb Drimmie, Andrew McFadden, Joe Sherman, and Anthony Einerson. Todd Tolton and Jeff McKibbon rounded out the field.
