LONDON, Ontario — Continuing to improve with each race this season, Wally Wilson scored a top-10 finish on Saturday at Delaware Speedway.
Wally Wilson showed speed in qualifying, picking up a fourth-place finish.
The strong effort allotted him to start on the front row for the feature, in which Wilson took advantage of immediately in beginning to stretch his advantage over the field early. He would lead the first seven laps until the caution flew for an incident deeper in the field.
Restarting on the front row, Wilson would get up into the high groove on the track, opening up the bottom which would cause him to fall back in quick fashion. He’d fade back to eighth, where he’d maintain the position to the checkered flag.
Crossing the finish line in eighth, he’d be credited with a seventh-place finish after a disqualification in post-race technical inspection.
