INNISFIL, Ontario — A week after being crowned the track’s Mini Stock Champion, Doug Butler captured another checkered flag with the Mini Stock Fall Velocity feature at Sunset Speedway.

Doug Butler won the first heat ahead of Will Gibbons, Jason D’Antimo, Wyatt Sutcliffe, Wayde Thorne, Robbie Sikes, Jake Spencer-Walt, Eric Rainey, and Kris Inglis.

Blaise Shaw was victorious in the second qualifier in front of Shawn Taylor, Laila Walser, Bobby Mercer, Coleridge Phinnemore, Chandler Bos, Jacob Sutcliffe, Madisson Tienkamp, Bob Phinnemore, and Nolan Gould.

The main event saw Blaise Shaw turn a front row starting spot into taking the early lead with Doug Butler hot on his heels in looking for a way by. Shaw held the advantage until Lap 13, with a small tap from the No. 10 saw Butler got alongside for the lead. Shawn Taylor looked to take advantage, taking the pair three-wide down the frontstretch.

Doug Butler came out on top, pacing the field the rest of the way en route to winning the 35-lap feature ahead of Shawn Taylor and Blaise Shaw. Will Gibbons and Nolan Gould completed the top-five in front of Bobby Mercer, Chandler Bos, Wyatt Sutcliffe, Coleridge Phinnemore, and Jason D’Antimo.

Jacob Sutcliffe rebounded from issues in practice for 11th, followed by Wayde Thorne, Carol Dawson, Jake Spencer-Walt, Matt Young, Eric Rainey, Madisson Tienkamp, Bob Phinnemore, Kris Inglis, and Robbie Sikes. Laila Walser was disqualified for contact with Bos following the checkered flag.
