Nick Tooley Scores First Career Super Stock Feature Victory

INNISFIL, Ontario — Taking the lead on a mid-race restart, Nick Tooley cruised away from the field en route to scoring his first career Super Stock victory on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.

Cory McAllister continued to pad his points lead by winning the first heat ahead of Cole Burrows, Johnny Morrison, Dan Archibald, and Nick Tooley.

Gord Shepherd was victorious in the second qualifier in front of Connor Maltese, Brandon McFerran, Matt McGrath, and Coltin Everingham.

Cory McAllister went for the daily double followed by Nick Tooley, Johnny Morrison, Dan Archibald, and Cole Burrows.

Brandon McFerran won the final qualifier in front of Gord Shepherd, Matt McGrath, Connor Maltese, and Coltin Everingham.

The front row consisted of Cole Burrows and Nick Tooley for the feature, with the pair battling side-by-side as they both looked for their first career victory. It appeared as though neither had a clear advantage right up until the caution for Coltin Everingham going around courtesy of contact with Connor Maltese.

The restart, though, is where the advantage was found for Nick Tooley as he took control of the top spot, and did not look back as he drove off to his first career victory. Gord Shepherd fought his way to second, with Brandon McFerran rounding out the podium.
