INNISFIL, Ontario — Taking the lead in the opening stages, Tom Walters dominated the Hot Rod feature on Sunday afternoon at Sunset Speedway.

Tyler Hawn won the first heat ahead of Tom Walters, Luke Gignac, and Matt Spry.

Rob Bromley was victorious in the second qualifier in front of Herb Walters, Thomas Dunn, Jamie Cairns, Keenan Belzile, and Amanda Balson. There was a yellow flag during the event for Balson making significant contact with the inside frontstretch wall after getting loose as she battled Bromley for position.

Tyler Hawn went for the daily double, followed by Tom Walters, Gignac, and Spry.

Rob Bromley also did the same thing ahead of Balson, Dunn, Belzile, and Cairns.

When it came time for the feature, Tom Walters wasted no time making his way forward through the field to take the lead. He then built up his advantage over the field to a straightaway in length by the time the checkered flag was waved on the action.

Rob Bromley crossed the finish line in second, but it was not without incident as he went around for a spin in turns three and four on Lap 5 following contact with Tyler Hawn. Jamie Cairns out-battled Amanda Balson for third, with Hawn rounding out the top-five.
