INNISFIL, Ontario — It wasn’t the straight forward victory that everyone is used to seeing by Andy Kamrath at Sunset Speedway, but the race still ended the same way with the No. 35 Modified parked in the winner’s circle.
Wally Wilson started on the front row and was able to capture the early advantage, hopeful of running away from the field for a bit as he did the week before. He would not get the same blessing, as TJ Edwards made his way forward, taking over the advantage with just two laps on the board.
The driver of the No. 34 Modified drove away from the field as his biggest competitor Andy Kamrath fought to get through the traffic that was ahead. Once Kamrath was clear, though, he began to reel in Edwards and found his way back on the back bumper at the halfway mark. He then wasted no time, turning underneath him and passing him for the lead.
Andy Kamrath led the final 14 laps en route to winning ahead of TJ Edwards, Wally Wilson, Herb Walters, and Luke Gignac.
