INNISFIL, Ontario — There may have several different faces at the front of the field throughout, but when the dust settled, Brandon Steele snagged another checkered flag at Sunset Speedway.
Brandon Steele won the first heat in front of Nicholas Reece, Greg Duncan, Josh Berry, Ben McPherson, and Aidan Harper.
Kris Khan was victorious in the second qualifier ahead of Jordan Owen, Cash Ireton, Jay Cutting, Aundrea Lusk, Steve Oakes, and John Haines. The action was slowed mid-way through after Lusk went around due to contact with Cutting.
Brandon Steele went for the daily double, followed by Harper, Duncan, McPherson, Berry, Reece, and Curtis Burnett. An attempt at four-wide at the front of the field between Reece, Berry, Justice Jones, and Daniel Demaras saw Jones go around and make significant contact with the outside wall.
Cash Ireton got the final checkered flag in front of Lusk, Haines, Owen, Oakes, and Khan.
When it came time for the feature, it was clear the No. 55 was fast, as evident by Brandon Steele finding his way into the top-five with just three laps on the board. He continued to move forward, taking the top spot on Lap 10 from Brandon Burnett, and not looking back from there on en route to winning. Kris Khan was second for a season-best ahead of Brandon Burnett, Aundrea Lusk, Ben McPherson, and Greg Duncan.
Points leader Cash Ireton finished seventh in front of Aidan Harper, Josh Berry, John Haines, and Nicholas Reece. Jordan Owen suffered a flat tire after contact for 12th, followed by Steve Oakes, Curtis Burnett and Daniel Demaras.
