Andy Kamrath Continues Winning Ways at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario — There is one thing that remains consistent weekly at Sunset Speedway – the speed in the No. 35 Modified driven by Andy Kamrath.

Kamrath put down the quickest lap in modified time trials at 14.526 seconds, setting him to start at the back of the field. He wasted no time making his way forward, utilizing a three-wide move on Lap 2 to take over second, followed by passing Wally Wilson three laps later for the lead.

Andy Kamrath then led the rest of the way in the 30-lap feature en route to scoring the victory, increasing his lead in the track points standings. Rick Spencer-Walt finished second, with Scott Beatty rounding out the top-three as he filled in for TJ Edwards.

Herb Walters was fourth, while Wally Wilson faded back to fifth after contact with the outside wall. Shawn Murray went for a spin on Lap 8, and encountered more issues to send him pit side on Lap 15.
