Wally Wilson Battles To Top-10 Finish at Sauble Speedway

SAUBLE BEACH, Ontario — Despite fighting issues with the car throughout the day, Wally Wilson was able to overcome it all for a top-10 finish on Saturday night at Sauble Speedway.

Wilson started off the day by avoiding trouble immediately on the initial start to qualifying with an incident on the opening lap. He then battled to a fifth in the first heat, followed by another fifth in the second qualifier.

Starting deep in the field for the feature, Wilson set his sights on making up the lost track position. He avoided an incident involving a couple other competitors on Lap 7, before making his way forward into the top-10 at the halfway mark. He did not give up there, making a pass with eight laps to go to cross the finish line with a ninth.

Wilson will be back behind the wheel of the No. 69 Modified at Sunset Speedway on Saturday, August 26.

Thanks to The Fyre Place & Patio Shop, HAVE1.COM, Napoleon, Wilson CANUSA Sale, McColl Racing Enterprises, and Stickers N’ Scuff’s for the support this season of the modified effort.
