Tegan Stanley Out-Battles Oosterholt for Bone Stock Feature Victory at Peterborough Speedway

PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — It was a battle for the win right down to the last lap with contact along the way, but it’d be Tegan Stanley coming out on top for his first career Bone Stock feature victory on Saturday night at Peterborough Speedway.

Jacob Kelly won the first heat ahead of Ryan Oosterholt, Mark Griffin, Ang Novis, John Bates, Sean Kennedy, Cory Horne, and Kyle Johnson.

Tegan Stanley was victorious in the second qualifier in front of Christen Lavalle, Victoria McLennon, Phil Givens, Samuel Arnott, Zachary Cheng, and James Amos.

Jacob Kelly won the third heat, followed by Griffin, Oosterholt, Kennedy, Novis, Horne, Johnson, and Bates.

Tegan Stanley went for the daily double ahead of Givens, Arnott, Lavalle, Cheng, McLennon, and Amos.

Off the drop of the green flag, Tegan Stanley grabbed the initial advantage and found himself driving away from the field. Though as the laps began to count down at the end, Ryan Oosterholt was able to reel in the No. 23, and began to look for away. The veteran made his move with five laps to go, taking over the top spot.

Although it was believed Oosterholt would drive away, that was not case as Stanley kept himself right on the bumper. Stanley went to make his move back by Oosterholt going into turn one with two to go, with contact occurring between the pair. Oosterholt got sideways and down on the apron, but maintained control of his car and kept going.

Tegan Stanley got the lead in the exchange, scoring the feature victory with Ryan Oosterholt holding onto second in front of Phil Givens, Mark Griffin, and Samuel Arnott. Sean Kennedy was sixth, followed by Jacob Kelly, Christen Lavalle, Cory Horne, and John Bates. Ang Novis finished 11th following a slide through the turn four grass, ahead of Zachary Cheng, Kyle Johnson, Victoria McLenon, and James Amos.
