Paul Boundy Scores Second Straight Top-Five Finish at Peterborough Speedway

PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Paul Boundy is finding consistency in his season, as evident by a second straight top-five in Super Stock competition at Peterborough Speedway on Saturday night.

Boundy started off the night by placing third in the first heat, followed by a fourth in the second qualifier. He started in the back half of the field for the feature, but was able to make his way forward through the middle portion. With a pass with four laps to go, he scored a fourth-place finish in the feature.

Dating back to last year, it marks his 13th straight top-10 with the super stock, with that string including six top-five’s. He sits fourth in the point standings, 54 markers out of the lead.

After seeing track curfew cut the night short a week ago, Boundy got to make-up the feature from that night with the Superman Renegrade Truck. Unfortunately, it did not go as planned with just seven laps completed en route to an 11th-place finish.

He got things straightened away by the time qualifying rolled around for that night, finishing fifth in the first heat, followed a runner-up in the second after pacing the opening five laps.

Boundy looked the carry the momentum to the feature, though was unable to make up much track position throughout the 20-lap affair, coming up three laps short of the finish in eighth.

With another night complete, Boundy ranks third in the Renegrade Truck standings, 67 points out of the lead.
