PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Leading laps in the feature, Paul Boundy score a top-five finish on Saturday night at Peterborough Speedway.
Boundy led the opening three laps of the first heat before fading back for a third. He then worked his way forward in the second qualifier, turning a last-place starting spot into a fourth.
The momentum carried into the main event, as he was able to lead the opening trio of laps, though ultimately was freight-trained over the next couple laps back to fifth. He tried to make up the ground in the second half of the race, though was unable to en route to placing fifth.
Dating back to last year, it marks his 12th straight top-10 with the super stock, with that string including five top-five’s. He sits fourth in the point standings, 48 markers out of the lead.
Behind the wheel of the Superman Renegrade Truck, he led the opening pair of laps before fading back to third. He then battled hard in the second qualifier en route to another third-place finish.
Unfortunately, the feature for the trucks was not run as the track hit their nightly curfew time. He currently ranks fourth in the Renegrade Truck standings, 41 points behind the leader.
