DURHAM, Ontario — Mitch Wilkin proved to be the fastest four-cylinder driver on Saturday night at Full Throttle Motor Speedway, picking up the checkered flag in both Mini Stock features.
Wilkin did not have it easy in the first feature, as he found himself battling back and forth for the lead from Lap 12 on with Dave Dippel as the pair traded it back and forth multiple times. Mitch Wilkin took it for the final time on the last lap to score the win, with Tom Eckenswiler sneaking through for second ahead of Dave Dippel.
Dustin Goodfellow and Bob Stewart rounded out the top-five in front of Jeremie Duguay, Michael Peterson, Sandy Eccles, Jarred Jeffery, and Seth Jeffery.
The second feature saw Mitch Wilkin take longer in his climb to the front, running second most of the event. He found his way to the lead for the first time with three laps to go, going back and forth with Jeremie Duguay till the checkered flag waved.
Dave Dippel completed the podium followed by Tom Eckenswiler and Dustin Goodfellow. Bob Stewart was sixth ahead of Jarred Jeffery, Seth Jeffery, and Michael Peterson. Peterson completed zero laps after suffering mechanical issues in the first 20-lap affair.
