INNISFIL, Ontario — Back behind the wheel of a super stock, Rick Spencer-Walt was able to return to victory lane at Sunset Speedway.

Behind the wheel of the No. 71 for Two Speed Motorsports filling in for Cory McAllister, the speed was there from the initial drop of the green flag for the night. Spencer-Walt would pick up the victory in the first heat, followed by a runner-up in the second qualifier after battling for position throughout.

Come time for the feature, Spencer-Walt quickly found his way to the front of the field, battling side-by-side for the top spot before taking over the lead. He then stretched out his lead to a straightaway in length, before the race’s first caution at Lap 10. Despite a second caution with 11 laps to go, both times he was able to get good restarts, stretching the advantage back out to score the victory by half a straightaway.

Spencer-Walt will be back at Sunset Speedway on Saturday, July 8, behind the wheel of his No. 31W Late Model for the inaugural Jr Hanley Classic. He will be joined by his son Jake Spencer-Walt who will be running with the Jr Late Models.
