Paul Boundy Scores Pair of Top-Five’s at Peterborough Speedway

PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Despite the hot weather, Paul Boundy was back behind the wheel of both the Super Stock and Superman Truck at Peterborough Speedway on Canada Day.

The Super Stock was fast once again, with Boundy putting together a pair of consistent runs in placing sixth and fifth in his qualifying races. He started up front for the feature, and appeared ready to battle for the win once again as he found himself in third through the early stages. Despite continuing to push hard, he fell back a spot with just a handful of laps on the board, crossing the finish line in the fifth position.

Dating back to last year, it marks his 11th straight top-10 with the super stock, with that string including four top-five’s. He sits fifth in the point standings, 15 markers out of the lead.

After scoring a heat win with Superman in their last trip together, he started off Saturday night with a third-place finish in the first qualifier. He then backed it up with fifth in the second round. Taking the green flag from eighth in the feature, he climbed his way forward throughout the event en route to a third-place finish.

He currently ranks fourth in the Renegrade Truck standings, 10 points behind the leader.

Boundy Racing is proud to be supported by Circa 1818, Alma Mechanical, Port Perry Salvage, Mark Rainford AutoCentre, Rona Cobourg, Wheelhouse 10, Signworks, Krown Whitby, Cobourg East Camp Ground, and Orono Country Cafe.
