PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Running up front throughout the Canada Day race night at Peterborough Speedway, Brandon Feeney was able to score a podium finish in the Super Stock feature.
Feeney started off the night with a lot of speed, climbing from the fifth starting spot in the first heat to score the victory. He carried the momentum to the second round of qualifying en route to a fourth-place finish.
The pair of top-five’s enabled him to start pole for the feature, with him dropping back to second off the drop of the green flag. He tried to reel in the leader, though eventually was passed by eventual race winner Miles Tyson at the halfway mark. He kept battling hard within the trio he had broken away from the rest of the field with, unable to make his way forward for a third-place finish.
Notably, dating back to last year, he has scored 19 top-10 finishes in the super stock, including eight top-five’s over the last 15 events. He currently sits fourth in the standings, eight points out of the lead.
