SAUBLE BEACH, Ontario — With Sunset Speedway canceling their show due to weather, Spencer-Walt Motorsports made the trek to Sauble Speedway with some success.

Jake Spencer-Walt took the lead on the third lap of the first heat to pick up the checkered flag. He ran up front in the second qualifier as well, remaining inside the top-three throughout the eight laps to a runner-up.

Starting up front for the feature, he escaped the early incident that took out a fellow competitor. From there on, he kept himself in contention for the victory in looking for a way by. Although unable to snag the top spot, the strong performance led Spencer-Walt to a runner-up finish.

Spencer-Walt has scored four podiums in five races this season, including victories at Sunset Speedway and Peterborough Speedway.
