SAUBLE BEACH, Ontario — Finding his way to the lead quickly, T.J Edwards dominated the Just Foam It OSCAAR Modified feature, sponsored by The Fyre Place & Patio Shop, on Saturday night at Sauble Speedway.
T.J Edwards won the first JRS Auctions heat in front of A.J. Emms, Dale Reinhart, Steve Trendell, Tyler Liscum, Tommy Robb, and David Mathers.
The second qualifier had a couple cautions, with Bryan Batty spinning Brad Pearsall for the first one, with Pearsall heading pit side afterwards. The restart then saw Ryan Dick spin Batty. Norman Newman picked up the checkered flag ahead of Batty, Dick, Wally Wilson, Pearsall, and Jason Keen.
Jason Keen won the third heat, followed by Liscum, Batty, Wilson, Mathers, and Robb.
A.J. Emms got the victory in the fourth qualifier, in front of Edwards, Pearsall, Trendell, Dick, Reinhart, and Newman.
Come feature time, TJ Edwards wasted no time making his way to the front after starting fourth, taking the top spot with just a single lap on the board. From there on, he led the rest of the way to visit feature victory lane sponsored by Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC. It marks his first victory of 2023 after wrecking out on the opening lap at Flamboro Speedway.
A.J. Emms ran second for his 11th series consecutive podium finish ahead of Jason Keen, Ryan Dick, and Tyler Liscum. Tommy Robb avoided the incidents for sixth in front of Dave Mathers. Norman Newman, Steve Trendell, and Dale Reinhart made up the next three spots, after getting involved in a caution on Lap 17. Newman made contact with Trendell off of turn two, spinning him, collecting Reinhart in the process.
Wally Wilson pulled off on Lap 14 with brake issue for 11th, while Brad Pearsall was scored 12th after his car caught fire with just seven laps on the board. Bryan Batty rounded out the field after being forced pit side on Lap 6 with motor issues.
The next race is a double-header for the Just Foam It OSCAAR Modifieds at Delaware Speedway on Friday, June 30, and Saturday, July 1
