Andy Kamrath Sweeps Modified Features at Sunset Speedway

INNISFIL, Ontario — The win streak extends to four wins in a row, as the perfect campaign continues at Sunset Speedway for Andy Kamrath, sweeping the pair of features on Saturday night.

Kamrath showed speed from the drop of the initial green flag, posting a quick time of 14.400 to grab the pole for the first 35-lap feature ahead of Shawn Murray (14.642) and TJ Edwards (14.848). Once the race began, it was clear sailing as Kamrath drove away from the field behind the wheel of the No. 35 en route to winning. Edwards scored the runner-up ahead of Luke Gignac, who made his return to modified competition with ADAMS Motorsports. Herb Walters and Wally Wilson rounded out the top-five.

Shawn Murray, meanwhile, did not have the feature he was looking for, catching fire with just 20 laps on the board to end his night early.

The second feature saw the field inverted, with Herb Walters breaking out to the early advantage ahead of TJ Edwards and Andy Kamrath. Edwards wasted no time challenging for the lead, doing so on the second lap. Kamrath made it interesting a lap later, taking the pair three-wide for a couple laps. Kamrath cleared them on Lap 4, setting sail en route to winning in front of Edwards, Luke Gignac, Herb Walters, and Wally Wilson.
