INNISFIL, Ontario — Battling hard on a late-race restart, Jordan Owens captured the checkered flag in the Bone Stock feature at Sunset Speedway.

Jacob Booth won the first heat in front of Jack Bird, Aundrea Lusk, Jordan Owens, Nicolas Reece, Nathan Hawkins, Aidan Harper, Justin Jones, Ben McPherson, and Greg Duncan. Notably, the race had some contact with Hawkins and Jones getting together on the opening lap in turns one and two.

Brandon Steele was victorious in the second qualifier ahead of Cash Ireton, Josh Berry, Jay Cutting, Karlie Wilman, John Haines, Steve Oakes, Curtis Halliday, and Brandon Burnett.

Booth went for the daily double, followed by Owens, Reece, Lusk, Hawkins, Jack Bird, Harper, Jones, and McPherson.

Brandon Steele got another checkered flag in front of Ireton, Oakes, Berry, John Bird, Halliday, Cutting, Haines, and Wilman.

The feature saw some great battles up front for the lead for the full duration of the 20-lap event, with at times four cars under a blanket. While the initial battle was between Cash Ireton and Brandon Steele, it did not take long for Aundrea Lusk, Jacob Booth, and Jordan Owens to join the party. The five competitors traded the top spot back and forth, sometimes two-wide, even with a couple bumps traded. It got real close as the race’s conclusion neared, with contact between with Booth and Lusk, resulting in Steele and Lusk getting together and a spin for Lusk in turn two.

Jordan Owens restarted second, but did not let that stop him in making the pass for the lead, pacing the final lap to capture the win. Jacob Booth was second, followed by Cash Ireton, Nathan Hawkins, and Jack Bird.
