Johnny Morrison Out-Battles Competitors for Super Stock Feature Victory

INNISFIL, Ontario — Finding his way to the front of the field, Johnny Morrison drove away in the final laps to win the Super Stock feature on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.

Coltin Everingham won the first heat ahead of Todd Davenport, Johnny Morrison, and Matt McGrath.

Nick Tooley was victorious in the second qualifier in front of Rick Spencer-Walt, Cole Burrows, and Connor Maltese.

Todd Davenport picked up the checkered flag in the third heat, followed by McGrath, Morrison, and Everingham.

Rick Spencer-Walt snagged the win in the final qualifier ahead of Maltese, Tooley, and Burrows.

Birthday Boy Coltin Everingham grabbed the initial lead, hoping to blow out his birthday cake candles in victory lane. He led the first couple laps, though before being challenged by Rick Spencer-Walt, who was filling in for Cory McAllister. The pair ran side-by-side for the lead, with Johnny Morrison hot on their heels. He kept peeking with each passing lap, taking Everingham and Spencer-Walt three-wide going into turn one.

The move paid off, as it’d turn into a head-to-head battle between Morrison and Spencer-Walt, with the No. 83 Super Stock edging ahead. Morrison then led the rest of the way to win in front of Spencer-Walt and Tooley.
