INNISFIL, Ontario — It seems the ship is sailing in the right direction for SKLD Motorsports, as evident by a pair of top-10 finishes on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway.
After a busy week for the team, Doug Wilman looked to get things back on-track following a wreck on the opening night. He would start at the back of the field and made his way forward, making a couple passes in the late stages for an eighth-place finish.
Austyn Jennett began his season with a third-place finish on opening night, and was set to keep the momentum rolling. He also began the 25-lap affair deep in the field, losing some ground throughout the middle portion. He kept pushing in the final stages, though, ultimately coming out with a 10th-place finish.
Still behind the wheel of the team’s back-up car, Karlie Wilman was able to put together a solid clean feature for the second week in a row. She was credited with an 11th-place finish for the second week in a row.
