Brandon Feeney Battles Adversity with Double Duty at Peterborough Speedway

PETERBOROUGH, Ontario — Doing double duty on opening night at Peterborough Speedway, Brandon Feeney fought back from adversity for a pair of strong runs.

Behind the wheel of the Neon Mini Stock, he would endure handling issues, including cutting through the grass in the first heat en route to placing seventh. As a result, he started deep for the 50-lap feature, but remained poised throughout. Even with the handling not being perfect, he was able to miss some wrecks and make passes en route to a strong eighth-place finish.

In his familiar Super Stock, the adjustments made following a pair of practice sessions led him to a fourth after starting on the pole. He would make some changes in hopes of seeing improvement, and saw it with a third despite carb issues. Come feature, he would battle throughout the full duration of the event, ultimately coming home in the fifth spot.

Notably, dating back to last year, he has scored 17 top-10 finishes in the super stock, including six top-five’s over the last 13 events.
