SAUBLE BEACH, Ontario — Running a pair of APC Series events at Sauble Speedway this past weekend, Jade Franklin continued to impress in his young career.
He started off the weekend by qualifying 12th for Friday night’s 100-lapper with a lap of 14.347. he then backed up the performance in the event, crossing the finish line with an 11th-place finish.
Come Sunday, he once again put together a solid lap in qualifying to start 15th in the Beat The Heat 100. He would begin to move forward from the drop of the green flag, battling side-by-side with Ryan Kimball for ninth on Lap 7. Unfortunately, he would get stuck on the outside, dropping back to 13th over the next eight laps.
Franklin continued to try and push back forward, but unfortunately suffered contact with a fellow competitor on Lap 21, ending his night early.
JF Motorsports is proud to have sponsorship support from Cadlecott Millwright Services, Lloyd’s Haulage, Praxair, Miller Concrete, Castrol and Cabral Racing Promotions.
The team is still looking for sponsorship to be able to run more APC Series events, and the Canadian Short Track Nationals at Jukasa Motor Speedway. They encourage any interested potential partners to contact them as soon as possible.
