ORILLIA, Ontario — SKLD Motorsports is proud to announce that they will be fielding three Signs of Innovation Bone Stocks at Sunset Speedway in 2019, as Austyn Jennett will race alongside Karlie Wilman and Andrew Shilling.
“I think this is going to be a very new experience but it should be good,” he said. “I am looking forward to racing at Sunset because that is the track that I’ve spent a lot of time at.”
With the 2019 campaign being his first ever season behind the wheel of a stock car, he says his goal to start the season is to get comfortable racing in a field of full-size cars, while finishing each race. The Bone Stocks present the perfect opportunity for Jennett in that respect, being the track’s entry level class.
“Competition is gonna be tough,” he commented. “There is a lot of highly skilled drivers at Sunset and no race will be easy; I think Bone Stocks at Sunset are a good growing class.”
Although it’s his first season behind the wheel, Jennett is no stranger to racing, having spent several years around the track. He notes his racing hero is Tony Stewart.
SKLD Motorsports has already announced they will have sponsorship from Orillia Auto Centre, All Area Towing, and The Creative Plate Eatery for 2019. Additional marketing partners will be announced moving forward.
