INNSFIL, Ontario — Battling hard through both features on Saturday night at Sunset Speedway, Paul Maltese scored a pair of top-10 finishes.
Qualifying ninth for the first feature, Maltese escaped contact on the first lap to move up two spots, battling hard through the rest of the 35-lap affair en route to a seventh-place finish.
Starting eighth in the second event, he’d once again avoid early contact to run ninth with just three laps on the board. From there, he’d drop back a spot mid-race, but managed to fight his way back into ninth following a mid-race pass. He’d be challenged for position through the back half of the feature, battling side-by-side throughout with a couple different drivers, but held on en route to a ninth-place finish.
The final Sauble Falls Tent and Trailer Park Late Model night of points competition takes place on Saturday, August 15 with racing starting at 5pm.
Lajeunesse Motorsports is proud to be supported by Paragon Office Installation Services, Delmeade Construction Ltd., Ontario Acoustic Supply Inc., and Ontario Steel Sales Inc.
