INNISFIL, Ontario — Despite being involved in an incident mid-way through the feature, Paul Maltese came back for a sixth-place finish.
With a 60-lap feature on tap for the night, a pair of 10-lap qualifying heats would set the field for the main event. Maltese was fast in both of those, scoring a second and a fourth.
Come feature time, he’d battle early and looked to be poised for another strong run, but contact mid-way through with a fellow competitor resulted in a rear-end damage to the No. 9 Late Model. Maltese came down pit road, receiving the necessary repairs from the team, before returning to the field, He then made his way forward immediately, scoring a sixth-place finish.
The team will be looking for a good run at Sunset Speedway on Saturday, August 4 in the next night of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Sauble Falls Tent and Trailer Park Late Model competition. Maltese has finished in the top-10 the past five weeks.
Lajeunesse Motorsports is proud to be supported by Paragon Office Installation Services, Delmeade Construction Ltd., Ontario Acoustic Supply Inc., and Ontario Steel Sales Inc.
