Taking the lead early in the event, Brian Atkinson did not look back en route to scoring the Canadian Vintage Modified feature victory on Saturday night at Flamboro Speedway.
Bill Stoner started pole ahead of Jeremy Barton, Brian Atkinson, Jason Bowden, Bill Gilbert, John Karley, Mike Podd, Darren Dryden, T.J. Marshall, Jason Keen, Ian Burney, Amanda Stoner, and Patrick Reulens.
Bill Stoner would jump out to the early lead, while Atkinson and Barton battled side-by-side for second. Atkinson got the spot on Lap 2, with Bowden getting alongside Barton next. Atkinson continued his climb forward, passing Stoner on Lap 3 to take the lead. Behind them, Bowden moved into third as Reulens pulled off the track. Dryden worked his way up to fourth by Lap 4 ahead of Gilbert, Karley and Keen, as Barton went side-by-side with Podd for eighth.
Bowden continued moving forward, passing Stoner for second on Lap 5. Dryden would follow him through to take third a lap later, bumping Stoner back to fourth. Behind him, Karley and Gilbert went side-by-side for fifth, with Karley grabbing the spot and getting alongside Stoner for fifth at Lap 7. Dryden also continued moving forward, passing Bowden on Lap 9 for second.
Karley would move up into fourth at the halfway mark ahead of Gilbert, Podd, Stoner and Marshall. Marshall then passed Stoner on Lap 12 to move up into eighth, with Barton running 10th ahead of Burney and Amanda Stoner.
Bowden’s strong run for a podium came to an end with four laps to go, as he was passed by Karley, Gilbert and Keen on one lap. Then the following lap, Podd was also able to sneak by for a spot, too.
Brian Atkinson led the rest of the way en route to victory ahead of Darren Dryden, John Karley, Bob Gilbert, Jason Keen, Mike Podd, Jason Bowden, Bill Stoner, Jeremy Barton, T.J. Marshall, Amanda Stoner, Ian Burney, and Patrick Reulens.
