With a focus on learning and getting faster every week, McLean Racing was pleased with rookie Travis McLean’s progress this past weekend at Sauble Speedway.

McLean began the night a little rough, going for a quick spin in his first qualifying heat as the team tried some stuff. The second heat went smoother, with McLean picking up a fifth-place finish.

Come feature time, the rookie battled hard, but cleanly with the veterans as he looks to gain their respect being the new guy in the division. The patience paid off, as he came home with a clean car, just missing the top-10 in 11th.

Travis McLean will be back on track at Sauble Speedway on July 29 in hopes of continuing to get better with each lap.
